A Noël Coward Evening
Join us for a special evening celebrating the extraordinary talent of Noël Coward, affectionately known as "The Master," who was born in Teddington 125 years ago. This event honours Coward's legacy as a playwright, actor, songwriter, and singer, saluting his status as one of the most memorable British performers of the last century.
This year a new and definitive biography was published – Masquerade: the Lives of Noël Coward. Written by Oliver Soden, it was exceptionally well received by the critics and by lovers of Noël Coward’s work. The Telegraph wrote, 'This is the biography - truthful, sympathetic and thorough - that Coward deserves'. Oliver, an excellent raconteur, will be interviewed before dinner..
Coward’s witty, poignant and unforgettable songs are performed throughout Europe by the King of Cabaret, Stefan Bednarczyk. Mad Dogs and Englishmen, London Pride, A Room with a View, Someday I’ll Find You and resonating today There are Bad Times Just Around the Corner… Coward’s lyrics are superb, and his music gets right under the listener’s skin. Stefan intersperses the humorous and the wistful songs with great anecdotes and will perform in cabaret after dinner.
