Dress code
We do not have a strict dress code and are informal in style. When dining in our Brasserie 1665, many guests choose to dress up a bit, but we will leave that up to you. our wine bar and café, coppernose is casual.

The Mitre Hotel is a non-smoking hotel. Should you choose to smoke in your bedroom, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning surcharge upon or after your departure, which will be an additional night's room rate and further charges relating to the deep cleaning of the room may also be incurred.

Guest personal property
The mitre hotel accepts no liability for any damage to or any loss of guests' personal property. We have personal room safes in each bedroom and suite for residents.

Well behaved dogs are welcomed at the mitre. We have 4 dog friendly rooms on the ground floor with outside terrace access. There is a £30 per night charge per dog. A maximum of 2 dogs per room. We provide a dog welcome pack on arrival. No dogs can be left in the room unattended. You can dine with your dog in the Coppernose, Orangery and Terraces. We do not allow dogs in the 1665 Brasserie. Great walks for you and your dog from the front door of the hotel include the river path and bushy park.

Unfortunately we are currently unable to provide babysitting services until further notice.

To guarantee your reservation
We request credit card information required at time of booking to guarantee your reservation at the hotel.

Hotel policies

When checking in we will ask for a pre-authorisation amount of your first night’s accommodation plus £100. This will be deducted from your bill on check-out or refunded if you have not exceeded the amount.

Check-in and check-out
Our priority is to have your room ready from 4.00pm. Should you wish to join us earlier to use the spa or enjoy our facilities, we will be delighted to store your luggage with the porter until the time that your bedrooms become available.

You are kindly asked to vacate your room by 11.00am on your day of departure. If bedrooms are not vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure, a charge may be made by the hotel. Please note that the hotel is all non-smoking.

We are a cashless business, so regrettably we are unable to change currency at the hotel directly.

Bramley products
We provide bespoke Bramley bathroom amenities that are in sustainable bottles. You're welcome to use during your stay. If bottles are taken from the room, the hotel reserves the right to charge.

Cancellation policies

Flexible cancellation
Credit card required to guarantee your reservation. We are holding the reservation on a guaranteed basis. In case of cancellation please contact the hotel before 2.00pm local time 48 hours prior to the arrival date to avoid any cancellation or no show charges equivalent to the rate on the first night plus taxes.

Advance purchase cancellation
Full prepayment is required at the time of the booking; therefore, the bookings will be non-refundable and non-amendable.

Semiflex cancellation
Full prepayment is required at the time of the booking. Non-cancellable, one date change allowed up to 7 days before arrival date, new arrival date must be within 30 days of original arrival date.

Restaurant cancellations
Credit cards are requested to confirm your booking in the restaurant (unless staying with us). In the event you need to modify or cancel your booking please send an email to 1665@mitrehamptoncourt.co.uk.

In the event of a no-show or cancellation within 24 hours we reserve the right to charge £20 per person.
